Mardorf to Celle

From 'T' shirt weather 2 days ago, it's back to winter. Very cold northerly wind and drizzle. Very thankful I decided to book hostel only 35 - 40 miles away. Also very thankful to find cheery roadside cafe which served me good hot coffee and a plateful of Bratwurst and chips.
Arrived youth hostel mid afternoon.
Half an hours walk into Celle town centre to see what festivities goes on here on a Saturday night!

  1. Weather also cold here today. Walter and I went to visit a farm park and were frozen - hope spring returns soon. Glad to hear all is well in Germany, hope you sample some lager and enjoy the Bratwurst - whatever that is - sounds sausage like. Looking forward to seeing you in Berlin in the near future.

  3. Magic blog peter, many congratulations, and not just on the Blog, it sounds as though those wheels are turning well.

The legs must be in good shape.

In the UK the Spring is trying to assert itself but there is still a cold wind and its not very warm. I was interested in you being in Celle, when I was in the forces, holding back the Russian Bear you know, anyway, I was stationed just up the road from Celle, the barracks had been a Panzer training camp for the German Army, just 4k from the site of Belson.

Have a great day, week, month and trip.
